The Power of Words

The Power of Words

& why the word 'spelling' has 'spell' in it.

Words and thoughts hold energy and power, full of magic, medicine, and manifestation.

There is a reason why the word ‘spelling’ has ‘spell’ in it; you’re casting a spell with your words.

When I say ‘words’, I don’t mean what just comes out of your mouth, but also the words you speak in your mind. It all carries the same vibration of that particular word.

A man says to the dog, “Bad dog” and the dog cowers away to then either cause further destruction or punish itself for being a ‘bad dog’.

A man says “Good dog” and the dog gets excited, wags its tail and is reinforced to behave positively.

You wake up late, ask yourself how stupid you could be, knock over your matcha and wonder who cursed you, not realising it was your internal spell manifested through the words spat from your mouth (or mind).

You speak negative words about yourself, and the energy will manipulate itself to bring you more of that same vibration

or

You can manipulate energy through your words, thoughts, and beliefs. You’re the master of your own life.

I’ll give you a positive example - you wake up, notice the sun is shining, and tell yourself it’s going to be a good day. Your positive energy rubs off on others, making them more kind to you, but even if they aren’t, you’re not bothered by it because you’re in your innate energetic vibration. You find yourself paying less than expected for car repairs, feel immense gratitude for it and on your way home, miss all of the traffic.

It could go something like that or,

You wake up not feeling great, something feels off, but you don’t beat yourself up for it - you can either gently push it aside for the moment while you go about your day and look to it later or decide to sit with it in the current moment and allow yourself to acknowledge everything coming up. You either run/stretch it out, journal, talk to a friend, turn it into poetry or let tears flow. Afterwards, you tell yourself “I have got this”, “I love myself”, and other words of encouragement/support/love.

It’s not about bypassing anything with “it’s all love and light” toad vomit.

Everyone has bad days or situations that can make life topsy-turvy and throw you off guard. Instead of beating yourself up with thrown-around words or spiralling downwards through a labyrinth of ‘what ifs’, acknowledge what it is and also step into resonance that it will pass.

The key to it all is to not speak badly about yourself, your life, or others, for that matter.

It’s about being intentional with your words

and creating a container to dive into anything that doesn’t feel good so that you can then remedy it.

Words are a powerful manifestation, and you are a powerful human with a mouldable, spongy brain and energy field that is only manipulated by words and intentions if you give it the power to.

A word of advice: don’t let your poisonous words be said so much that they turn into a belief. If your words get to a point where they turn into an internal belief, then you will need to work on ways to remove or alter the thoughts and feelings around it.

Depending on how deep these beliefs are, you could find an experienced therapist to help you with this. Otherwise, you could practice saying or writing daily affirmations to yourself in the mirror or a journal that works towards the opposite of the belief.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is another impactful tool to help change beliefs. You could either work with a professional or download an app like ‘the tapping solution’, which is beneficial but might not work as well as seeing someone who knows the best way to work with specific deep-rooted belief systems.

Just remember,

If you can manifest something positive into your life through the power of words, thoughts, intentions and feelings, then you can also manifest the negative. It is easy to forget that manifestation works both ways, and it’s also easy to unconsciously get tangled in the dilemma of the mind or a narrative that hasn’t been looked at or questioned.

You are capable and hold immense power within to work on yourself and the beliefs or stories you tell yourself! You can do it!
